Print This Page Russia Builds Sturgeon and Salmon Farm
RUSSIA - A new fish farm is currently under construction in the Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous District at a cost of around RUR980 million (USD37 million), according to the Interfax news agency.The farm, which is expected to be completed in 2008, will have an annual production capacity of 43 million fish, including sturgeon and salmon. Funding for the construction of the fish farm is coming from the authorities in the Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous District, the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District and the Tyumen region.
