Khanh Hoa promotes seafood exports

VIETNAM - Currently, Khanh Hoa’s seafood exports account for 8.6% of the country’s seafood export turnover, 60% of the provincial’s export turnover.

Khanh Hoa seafood exports grow at an average rate of 13-15% annually. Key seafood products of Khanh Hoa include frozen products, dry processed products, fresh products and live products.

Over 50 different kinds of seafood products from Khanh Hoa have been exported to Japan, South East Asian countries, China, the US, the Europe, Africa and the Middle East. These products have been well processed and packaged, thus receiving appreciation from foreign consumers.

With advantages in natural conditions, geographical position and natural resources, Khanh Hoa continues to invest in processing technology, diversifying products and expanding markets. The province targets to earn US $310 million from seafood exports by 2010, accounting for 60-65% of the province’s total export turnover.
