Print This Page Chabahar shrimp production up 40%
IRAN - This year, some 2,500 tons of shrimps have been produced in the southeastern port city of Chabahar, 700 kilometers south of provincial capital Zahedan, up 40% from last year’s figure.The volume was collected from 1,200 hectares of a large fish farming complex in Gwatar, on the Iran-Pakistan border. Shrimps are bred, packaged and exported from this site both to domestic and foreign markets (2,300 tons of total production is to be exported abroad).
