Print This Page Salmon farm fears didymo spread to Waikoropupu Springs
NEW ZEALAND - A Golden Bay salmon farm says it is concerned that the invasive alga didymo could spread to Takaka's Waikoropupu Springs.The invasive alga was found in the Takaka River last Friday.
The Department of Conservation says people flouting a swimming ban could introduce didymo into the clear water springs.
