Print This Page High growth in tra and basa catfish export
VIET NAM - Viet Nam estimated exported 210,000 tonnes of "tra" and "basa" catfish in 2006, fetching US$560 million, according to the Ministry of Fisheries. |
The export value of tra and basa catfish were on the rise in all markets, including the EU and Eastern Europe ones.
Russia's tra and basa catfish imports from Viet Nam reached US$54.9 million in 2006, a 270 percent increase over 2005.
Poland also spent US$45 million on Viet Nam's tra and basa catfish.
