Print This Page Vietnamese Catfish farmers to receive Agribank loans
VIET NAM - Farmers raising tra catfish for export in An Giang will receive VND500-700 billion (US$31-43 million) in loans from the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) and the An Giang Fisheries Association.
The financial assistance will increase total outstanding loans to farmers in An Giang by 25 per cent and is aimed at boosting the province’s tra exports to $300 million.
Since 2004, Agribank has provided loans to 27,730 household cultivating tra fish in the province.
