Print This Page Catfish producers can apply for assistance
LOUISIANA - Louisiana catfish producers who suffered feed losses from the 2005 hurricanes can sign up for the catfish feed assistance program, according to Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner Bob Odom.About $95 million in disaster assistance will be provided to catfish producers in Louisiana and other states. Louisiana’s share of the money will be determined by the USDA Farm Service Agency after all applications are filed.
All applications must be submitted with a completed, signed and dated IRS W-9 form by April 6. Producers may receive up to $80,000 for their losses.
