Print This Page 32,000 acres brought under fish culture
LAHORE - As many as 32,000 acres of land has been brought under Fish Culture and this number is fast growing in the province. This was stated by Director General Fisheries Punjab, Dr. Muhammad Ayub while giving a briefing to Secretary Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries, Shumail Khawaja about the development activities of the Department here on Monday.Dr. Ayub informed the Secretary that 12 development schemes are being launched throughout the province at a cost of Rs 65 million.
He said loan with a mark up of 2% only is being provided to the farmers to set up fish farms through Bank of Punjab.
