Spanish AFF Minister to visit Yemen
10 April 2007SANA'A - Minister of Fisheries Mahmud Saghiri met with the Spanish ambassador to Sana'a Marcos Vega and
discussed with him arrangements for the visit of the Spanish Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Elena Espinosa to Yemen
in June.
The visit is expected to further widely open dimensions for bilateral cooperation relations.
The meeting also dealt with arrangements for investment opportunities conference scheduled on April 22-23 in Sana'a.
Saghiri welcomed Spanish investment in fishery sector, highlighting the various investment opportunities in aquaculture and fishing.
The Spanish ambassador stated that a technical Spanish team would visit Yemen coastal areas by the mid of May to survey Yemeni needs for fishery projects and to study potentialities of funding such projects.
