Vietnam battles infection in shrimp
16 April 2007VIETNAM - Thua Thien Hue province reported that shrimp in over 30 ha of farms had died en mass. The animals on 20 ha had died of white spot disease and the rest of unknown causes, now under investigation.
The province’s Department for Protection of Aquatic Resources warned the epidemic was likely to spread due to the onset of warm weather, and called on farmers to destroy infected shrimp.
