Print This Page 150 shrimp exporters move US department
INDIA - In a move that can be crucial in determining the anti-dumping duty for the export of shrimp, 150 Indian exporters have filed the Quantity and Value (Q&V) questionnaire as part of the second administrative review before the US Department of Commerce (DoC). The DoC will shortlist the mandatory respondents for the second review based on the Q&V questionnaire.The DoC had originally announced a list of 313 Indian exporters to file the Q&V questionnaire, but 163 exporters failed to do so before the April 23 deadline. According to experts, it is likely that the actual fact available (AFA) duty might be applicable on these companies. The AFA duty will be 110 per cent for the Indian exporters against the current weighted average duty of 10.54 per cent.
For the first administrative review, DoC had selected three companies, namely Hindustan Lever Limited (HLL), Falcon Marine and Liberty group. The DoC had enhanced the average duty for Indian exporters to 10.54 per cent from 10.17 per cent.
