Print This Page New method invented in Bangladesh to detect formalin in fish
BANGLADESH - Bangladeshi scientists have recently invented a new method to detect formalin in fish within 30 seconds, local newspaper The Independent reported Friday.The new "Formalin Detection Kit" is easier and faster than the previous methods.
Under the method, fish should be washed by water first and then the water should be examined with the formalin detection kit.
If the water shows red color within 30 seconds, then it can be confirmed that the fish has been preserved with formalin.
