VIET NAM - Taiwanese retail distribution giant Uni-President Vietnam has broke ground with its new shrimp breeding facility in the central province of Ninh Thuan. |
The 3.5 ha complex is expected to cost US$1.2 million and produce almost 600 million shrimp per year once operational in November.
Uni-President, which specializes in food processing, beverages, and retail distribution, entered into a partnership earlier with the Saigon Beverages Joint Stock Company (Tribeco).
Uni-President will acquire 15 percent of Tribeco’s stock and assist the latter in setting up new product lines and expanding its distribution network in Southeast Asia.
