Print This Page Angola: Govt Approves Measures for Fisheries, Aquaculture Management
ANGOLA - The Angolan government has established measures for the management of fisheries and aquaculture for the year 2007. Its main aim is to adjust the catches to the available potential of aquatic and aquaculture resources.
The Fisheries Ministry is in charge of guaranteeing the rigorous fulfilment of these measures, published in the State Gazette, number 39, first Series.
The document states that about 49 fishing boats with trawling nets are operating this year. The foreign boats in a regime of contract or freighting that stop fishing by any motive they can be exclusively replaced by other boats.
