NAMIBIA - Namibian representatives are thrilled with the response from its first trade exibition. A delegation from the country's fishing and aquaculture industry promoted its industry at the International Seafood Expo held in Brussels, Belgium, and it has paid dividends.
The strategy used by the Namibian trade delegation attracted many visitors to the stand, says .
"This was our first entrance into this expo. All we had was our confidence in Namibia's existing fishing industry and prospective aquaculture sector as our point of promotion," said Volker Kuntzsch, Chairman of the Confederation of Namibian Fishing Associations.
Former Miss Namibia, Adele Basson, appeared on the stand, and with the support of Namibia Breweries, the delegation was able to market the industry's potential as a producers and investment opportunity.
"Visitors had the chance to sample real Namibian beer, true Namibian beauty and some or our culture. It was a huge success," said Kuntzsch.
