Print This Page Shrimpers Say Worries About Chinese Shrimp May Help Industry
US - South Carolina shrimpers say concerns about Chinese seafood may limit imports and help the local shrimping industry.The Food and Drug Administration last week said several types of Chinese seafood, including farm-raised shrimp, will be blocked until it is shown it is not contaminated with drugs that are not approved in this country.
The F-D-A said the step is precautionary and there is no immediate health risk.
