Print This Page India, Vietnam to expand cooperation
NEW DELHI - India and Vietnam will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Cooperation in Fisheries and Aquaculture, a Cultural Exchange Programme and a Work Plan in Agriculture for the year 2007-2009 during the three-day State visit of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung beginning tomorrow.The Vietnamese Prime Minister who arrives in Kolkatta on the first leg of his visit, will also travel to Jamshedpur and Mumbai the same day.
He will arrive in Delhi on July 5 from Mumbai and hold talks with Prime Minister Manmohan and other Indian leaders the next day. He will also call on President A P J Abdul Kalam and meet Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma, Lok Sanba Speaker Somnath Chatterjee, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha L.K. Advani and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
The Vietnamese Prime Minister will be accompanied by his Trade Minister Truong Dinh Tuyen, Minister of Science and Technology, Hoang Van Phong and Minister of Fishery, Mr. Ta Quang Ngoc.
The visit of the Vietnamese Prime Minister takes place during the 35th Anniversary year of the Establishment of Full Diplomatic Relations between India and Vietnam.
