Print This Page Demolish Balasore prawn gheries, says Dhali
INDIA - Bharatiya Janashakti state unit president Arabinda Dhali has demanded immediate demolition of prawn gheries in Balasore district.After visiting the flood affected areas of Balasore and Bhadrak districts, Dhali told mediapersons here recently that prawn gheries in Balasore coast were the major obstruction in the release of flood water and this caused large-scale damage to the people during the recent floods.
Alleging that relief distributed by the Government in the affected areas was too inadequate, Dhali said village and major roads in Basta and Baliapal blocks of Balasore district and Dhamnagar, Chandbali and Tihidi blocks in Bhadrak districts were badly damaged and the Government has failed to repair the roads causing inconvenience to the public.
