Print This Page US Catfish Feed Deliveries
US - Total catfish feed delivered in the United States during July 2007 was 140,415 tons, up five per cent from July 2006 and up six per cent from the previous month.
July 2007 Catfish Feed Deliveries rising
Foodsize catfish feed delivered totaled 133,478 tons, up 7 per cent from the corresponding month a year ago. Feed delivered for fingerlings and broodfish totaled 6,937 tons, down 29 per cent from the corresponding month a year ago.
July feed delivered to Mississippi catfish growers for foodsize fish totaled 65,230 tons, up seven percent from last year and accounted for 49 per cent of the total foodsize catfish feed delivered to US farmers.
The other major States with catfish feed deliveries for foodsize fish in July and their comparison to the previous year were: Alabama with 36,960 tons, up 11 per cent; Arkansas with 20,636 tons, up two per cent; and Louisiana with 3,658 tons, up slightly from last year.
