Roger Williams opens doors to state’s only shellfish hatchery

The hatchery is part of the school's Wet Lab, which the public was invited to view yesterday.

The hatchery plays a key role in attempts to restore the state's dwindling oyster population.

Researchers gave an overview of aquaculture in the region to visitors. They also spoke about the oyster enhancement and restoration program.
