Japanese Businessmen In Tuna Culture Project Talks

The team comprised Ichiro Washiyama, Kiichi Miyazaki and Richard Nii, while their Brunei counterparts include Dato Paduka Hj Abd Wahab Hj Mohd Sani and Mas Irun Hj Ali, who runs Labota Sdn Bhd.

According to Dato Paduka Hj Abd Wahab, the purpose of their visit is to locate a suitable area for the development of the project so that the Japanese technology used can be easily adapted to the local situation. This includes the source of seawater culture, which needs to be of very high quality.

Such project development will also help to propel Brunei further as a technological hub in aquaculture, supporting the country's aspiration to be the leading player in fisheries.
