VIET NAM - Shrimp has remained the country’s biggest hard currency earner among seafood products, accounting for 39.4 percent of seafood export value.According to the Viet Nam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), the country has so far this year exported close to 110,000 tonnes of shrimp for over 1 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 1.2 percent.
As shrimps have been grown popularly in the world, the Vietnamese fisheries sector has accelerated measures to control the products’ quality, safety and hygiene as well as promote trademarks.
