Print This Page 100,000 tons of prawn will be harvested
IRAN - “Harvesting Prawn from 800 hectares of farms will be started from December 1 with a month of delay,” said Mohammad Bani Ameri, Executive of the Union of the province’s Prawn.
“Over (a 100 thousand) tons of Prawn of type “Babri” will be harvested,” he added.
“Lack of Prawn child in the beginning months of growing lead to a month of delay in the harvest time,” affirmed Ameri.
“Currently province’s produced Prawn is packaged for domestic use and will be exported to the other countries after fulfilling the domestic needs,” he said, referring to the packaging systems of Prawn in 200 to 500 Grams packages.
“Prawns of type “Babri” will be harvested at 10 to 15 Grams of weight and it’s predicted that the price of them will be between 4 and 5 thousand Tomans per Kilo in the market,” he mentioned.
