Print This Page Aquaculture Info Service to be launched for Scotland
UK - Scotland's own Aquaculture Information Bureau will be launched tomorrow in Glasgow.
The new industry-wide information resource will be unveiled by broadcaster Sally Magnusson at Two Fat Ladies at The Buttery, in the city.
Sally, who admits to knowing very little about aquaculture, has previewed the service. She said it is a terrific asset for information-seekers.
"After a brief visit to the glossary I can tell you what an ‘azimuth’ is. I can wax lyrical about ‘anti-seep collars’ and ‘autotrophs’. There’s no doubt that the news links, articles, and simple, at-a-glance presentation of key facts about the industry – is going to make journalists like me much more aware of what’s going on and in turn help get these ideas across to a wider audience.”
