ESTONIA - Lithuanian seafood processing giant Viciunai has earned Marine Stewardship Council's (MSC) chain of custody certification for its Estonia based processing plant Paljassaare Kalatoostus (PKT), according to FAO.
The certfication covers all its major seafood lines in which MSC certified Alaska pollock is used as a raw material.
PKT produces breaded fish, natural fish portions and fillets under the Esca and Vici brands, and under private label brands.
The products are sold primarily in Scandinavia, the Baltic states, and Central and Eastern Europe. Viciunai's surimi production facilities in Plunge, Lithuania, were granted chain of custody certification earlier in the year.
