Print This Page All Imported Breeding Shrimps Quarantined
VIET NAM - Management agencies under the National Fisheries Quality Assurance Veterinary Directorate (Nafiqaved) have quarantined all breeding shrimps imported through border gates in 2007 nationwide.
The total included 4.7 million breeding black shrimps, 124,000 mother black shrimps, 8,589 mother white-legged shrimps and about 300 fries.
The Nafiqaved also tightened hygiene and veterinary examination in all breeding and aqua-culture farms.
The Nafiqaved remarked that the quarantine has contributed to the successes of the aquaculture sector.
