Print This Page Grants Offer Opportunities for NC Aqua-Biotech Industries
NORTH CAROLINA - A NC Community College BioNetwork grant is helping to fund a range of courses within its Aqua-Biotech Initiative.
The courses hope to provide Brunswick County, NC with a skilled workforce and new business opportunities in the fields of modern aquaculture, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals and biofuels.
Students will now have the opportunity to learn job skills incorporated across each program. The new program incorporates Biotechnology with an already existing and successful Aquaculture Technology program. The college has a coastal location and provides students with the opportunity to help create an industrial niche within the country and in North Carolina.
