Print This Page Bank Branches-out to Serve Marine Industries
NORWAY - Leading Norwegian bank DnB NOR is to open branch offices in Santiago in Chile, Piraeus in Greece and Mumbai in India.
The initiatives are part of DnB NOR's international growth strategy.
"It will strengthen our ability to locally follow up existing clients within shipping, energy, fisheries and aquaculture, while creating new business opportunities for the bank," said Leif Teksum, the group's executive vice president.
The office in Chile will primarily serve clients within the fisheries and aquaculture sector in Chile and neighbouring areas. The Piraeus branch will serve Greek and other international shipping clients, while the office in Mumbai will work with clients in both shipping and energy.
