Print This Page Eco-Aquarium To Promote Awareness
ORISSA - Bhubaneswar's Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (CIFA) plans to build one of the biggest ecosystem-based aquaria in the country.It will hold 140 varieties including 20 marine species and as many indigenous species in about 54 aquaria and aims to create awareness among the public about aquatic fauna and flora.
Reports in the NewInd Press say it will also provide information on ornamental fish and how farmers and entrepreneurs can develop businesses in this sector or aquaculture.
Deputy Director-General (Fisheries) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research Prof. S. Ayyappan will inaugurate plans today.
