Fisheries Carnival Expects To Draw Huge Crowds
BRUNEI - Local entrepreneurs in the seafood processing, aquaculture and all the related industries that support the development of fisheries industries in the country are expected to converge at the Fish Landing Complex Serasa, Muara for this year's "Karnival Perikanan 2008" or Fisheries Carnival 2008, reports,Borneo Buletin.
The carnival, organised by the Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, will be held from Jan 31 to Feb 3.
The carnival held in the past year was deemed a great success in showcasing local entrepreneurs' achievements in fisheries related activities in their struggle to raise productivity in the country.
The activity is an annual event of the Fisheries Department in its effort to promote and help upgrade entrepreneurs in the related fields.
The carnival acts as a platform to promote and encourage the Fisheries Eco-Tourism industry.
One of the highlights of the carnival will be the exhibition booth and sale of improved quality local products.
