Print This Page Another Malaysian Signing for Cell
UK - Following the announcment that barramundi production in now underway in Malaysia, Aus-based CELL Aquaculture Limited has announced another joint venture in the region.Sarawak-based ASSAR Fishery Sdn Bhd (ASSAR,)near Kuching has agree to collaborate on a 700 tonne barramundi production facility using Cell's proprietary technology.
The total cost of the project is estimated at AUS$9 million
ASSAR, subsidiary of a company linked to the Sarawak state government, has a successful track record covering a range of businesses including financial services, property development, technology, manufacturing and trading.
Cell's Malaysian interests are superceding business prospects elsewhere. The company has reined in a proposed venture in the Netherlands to concentrate on growing opportunities in the East.
