Print This Page Ornamental Event Attracts Crowds
KERALA - Thousands crowded into Kerala's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium for India's International Aqua Show 2008. here showcasing
Organised by the Department of Fisheriesand the Union Ministry of Agriculture, the event showcased a variety of ornamental fishes from across the country and abroad and highlighted the business potential or this sector of aquacuklture in the region.
Reports in Daily India, said visitors were particular intersted in species such as the 'Yeel', 'Star Fish', 'Pakistani Butterfly Fish', and the expensive 'Arovana'.
"We come here to see the show every year. This time, we could see many varities of fishes, which is hard to see in other places. I think this kind of show is not only good for public, but also brings some knowledge about different species found in the sea," said one.
