National Seafood Program Kicks Off in April
AUSTRALIA - The National Seafood Industry Leadership Program 2008 begins on the 15 April 2008 in Port Lincoln.
The National Seafood Industry Leadership Program 2008 runs until 17 September 2008. This leadership platform is delivered through funding from The Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC) and developed by Leading Industries.
This year it will be managed and facilitated by Rural Training Initiatives’ Jill Briggs, who has been an integral part of the delivery of the program throughout its history.
The National Seafood Industry Leadership Program 2008 is the only national industry specific leadership program and was initially design in consultation with seafood industry people. In excess of ninety graduates of all ages and from all sectors of the industry including processing, fishing, extension, exporters, importers, marketing, deckhands and employees.
The course focuses on developing skills that participants can apply at three levels – personal, business and national industry. They are also encouraged to develop and implement plans associated with these three areas. Participants will also be involved in a national strategic project.
