Print This Page US Shrimp Tax to Zero Rated for Some Companies
VIET NAM - The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has agreed to cut the tax rate on shrimp products from 29 Vietnamese companies to zero per cent after the administration review.
Reports in Vietnam's Economic Times says that the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), DOC has released the preliminary conclusion about the administration review over Vietnam’s warm water frozen shrimp for the period of between February 1, 2006 and January 31, 2007.
DOC has agreed to cut the tax to zero per cent for 29 Vietnamese companies. However, this is only the preliminary conclusion, and the final decision will be announced by DOC in about 120 days.
