Dutch Minister Launches Innovation Grant Scheme
NETHERLANDS - Dutch agriculture minister Verburg van Landbouw, responsible for environment and food quality (LNV) is to launch a new subsidy scheme for 'Innovation in the Fish Chain' today.
The scheme is open to everyone active in the fishery or aquaculture industries.
The innovation projects must be aimed at developing or testing new, innovative techniques, which make the teh fishing and aquaculture industries more sustainable and more profitable.
An innovation project can be also aimed at new forms of cooperation in the fish chain.
The subsidy regulation 'Innovation in the Fish Chain' is opened for a period of three weeks.
The Dutch government is alloting €3 million for the scheme and in the second half of the year there will be another allocation. The maximum bid for funds is €500,000.
Claims must be submitted at Lnv-Loket of the ministry of LNV and the innovation project must be linked to scientific or technical research.
