Print This Page Support for Coonamble Aquaculture Plan
AUSTRALIA - A multi-million dollar aquaculture project planned for Coonamble has been agreed in principle by its council.GGovernment funding is being sought by Gunya Australia to develop a factory to produce fish for export in the shire. However, council general manager John Griffiths says the project has been downsized and will not create as many jobs as originally proposed, says a report on ABC News.
"What they were hoping to do was to have 40 or 50 acres of irrigated lucerne or some other crop such as hydroponic tomatoes or lettuces," he said.
