IDAHO - The Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee has voted to set aside money to help buy a $26 million fish farm in the Magic Valley near Twin Falls in Idaho.
A Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee Tuesday voted to set aside money to help buy a $26 million fish farm in the Magic Valley near Twin Falls.
An Associated Press report says that it willuse the farm's water to resolve disputes between groundwater pumpers and fish farms in the region.
Deputy attorney general Clive Strong says this is a first step in solving water woes plaguing southeastern Idaho.
In the package, the state would set aside $10 million for loans this year, in addition to $5 million already in a fund.
