VicFRAB Seeks Research Proposals
AUSTRALIA - The Victorian Fisheries Research Advisory Body (VicFRAB) is seeking preliminary research proposals for the 2009/10 round of funding by Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC).
Preliminary proposals need to be developed in full consultation with industry, relevant fisheries management agencies and achieve the qualified support of the associated peak body/bodies, according to Ross Hodge, the chairman of VicFRAB.
Preliminary proposals must also be consistent with both the research priorities of FRDC, as defined in the FRDC’s Strategic Plan and those within Victoria’s Fisheries and Aquaculture Research and Development Strategy, 2005-2010.
The FRDC are about to highlight several key areas of interest for the forthcoming 2009/10 funding round, these will be consistent with FRDC’s Strategic Plan. Please note further information will be available as of mid-May on the FRDC website www.frdc.com.au.
VicFRAB is currently consulting with a widespread group of stakeholders, and will shortly provide its own priorities (and that of the FRDC) to you shortly.
