SCOTLAND - The NAFC Marine Centre in Shetland launches its 2008 ‘Seas Around Us’ project next week.
The centre will open its doors to visiting schools and the general public to inform them about marine life in Shetland waters.
From May 20 to July 18, schools and groups are invited to book a visit to give pupils an introduction to the sea creatures that can be found locally, as well as a better understanding of career opportunities in marine related industries.
There will also be three open days in July for the general public.
The centre is also inviting key people from the aquaculture industry to speak to students interested in finding out more about the industry and in careers.
