North Sea Fisheries Workshop
DENMARK - The EU-funded PROFET POLICY project will hold a workshop on North Sea fisheries in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 23 and 24 June.At the workshop, experts from various backgrounds will talk about the role of North Sea fisheries today and in the future, the question of how research programmes can help advance fisheries management and the communication of research results.
This is one workshop in a series of PROFET workshops, which are an essential part of the project.
The workshops represent an innovative approach to the promotion of research, technology and development in the European aquaculture and fisheries sector.
The workshops are organised on a thematic and regional basis, covering fisheries and aquaculture, the focus being on promoting an exchange of views between aquaculture producers, fishers, scientists, national and European policy-makers and other stakeholders.
