Print This Page Support For Aquaculture Information Campaign
NAMIBIA - The Namibian Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources is to step up its information campaign on fish farming in a bid to to increase food security and employment creation.The campaign has been backed and sponsored by the offshore mining company De Beers Marine Namibia.
It has provided N$80,000 to print an information brochure on aquaculture and several posters, according to AllAfrica.
Handing over the materials to Fisheries Minister, Dr Abraham Iyambo, last Friday, Jan Nel, acting MD at De Beers said the funding came from the company's social responsibility fund, All Africa reports.
The brochure and posters describe the achievements of aquaculture in Namibia, investment opportunities and which freshwater and marine species are suitable for this sector.
