AUSTRALIA - Sutherland Shire Council's Independent Hearing and Assessment Panel heard a range of views on a proposed pearl farm off Silver Beach at Kurnell.
According to Growfish, the pearl operation has been proposed by Silver Beach Aquaculture, a company that runs an existing fish farm at the same location.
The oyster farm would significantly expand the area covered by the aquaculture operation and a number of residents, along with representatives from the Caltex Oil Refinery, turned out to air their objections.
