Print This Page Tra Catfish Farmers Target 1.5M Tonnes in 2009
VIET NAM - Measures to develop tra and basa catfish production and sales have been discussed at a recent conference in order to attain the target of providing between 1.3-1.5 million tonnes of tra catfish this year.
The conference held by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development focused on promoting cooperation between processing businesses and farmers to ensure both sides’ interests.
Participants at the meeting also suggested that the government take measures to ensure credit supply for catfish producers and processors.
