Formulation Emulsion for injection.
Indications For active immunization of Atlantic salmon for reduction of mortality, clinical signs and/or lesions of the diseases vibriosis caused by Aeromonas salmonicida subsp. salmonicida and IPN caused by IPNV. Onset of immunity is demonstrated from 500 degree-days following vaccination. The results of challenge experiments in addition to high levels of specific antibodies against all components demonstrate duration of immunity for the entire production cycles.
Dosage The fish should be anaesthetised and vaccinated according to veterinary instructions. Inject 0.1 ml intraperitoneally along the central line, one fin length in front of the pelvic fin base in Atlantic salmon of minimum 35 grams. The length and the diameter of the applied needle should be adapted to the actual fish size. Ensure that the recommended dose (0.1 ml) is deposited into the abdominal cavity before the needle is withdrawn.

Further information Vaccination is recommended for fish of minimum 35 grams. Only healthy fish should be vaccinated.
Food should be withheld for 1-2 days prior to vaccination. Vaccination at or below 15°C is recommended. At least 500 degree-days are recommended from vaccination to exposure to vibriosis or IPN. Do not mix with any other vaccine or immunological product.
Sterile injection equipment should be used. Shake well before use.
Undesirable effects
Treated animals may show minor lesions and/or pigmentation in the abdominal cavity. These adverse reactions normally have no impact on the quality of the slaughtered fish. In rare occasions granulomas may occur following vaccination. Administration of an overdose may result in increased local reactions compared with single dose administration.
Precautions In the case of accidental self-injection, seek medical advice immediately and show the package insert or the label to the physician. In rare circumstances, self-injection may result in anaphylaxis in individuals. It is therefore recommended that operators have ready access to adrenaline for emergency use. During vaccination the use of protective equipment (e.g., safety bow) is recommended.
