Great Sandy Regional Marine Aquaculture Plan
An aquaculture plan has been drawn up to help the Great Sandy region of Queensland by finding the most suitable sites for aquaculture development and providing guidelines to ensure that only suitable development is approved. The Draft Great Sandy regional marine aquaculture plan (GSRMAP) was prepared by the Queensland Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries (DPI&F) with support from the Department of Tourism, Regional Development and Industry (DTRDI).
Fisheries of the United States 2007
Alaska led all states in volume with fish landings of 5.3 billion pounds, followed by Louisiana 951.2 million pounds; Virginia 481.7 million pounds; Washington 456.2 million pounds; and California 385.9 million pounds says a report - released by the National Marine Fisheries Service Office of Science and Technology - examining the fisheries of the Untied States in 2007.
