Fish and Lemon Cocktail


Ingredients (serves 4)

2 large lemons
100 g (4 oz) shelled prawns, thawed if frozen
95 g (4 oz) can crab meat
15 g (½ oz) seedless green grapes, halved
1 tbsp mayonnaise
½ tbsp dill freshly chopped
dill and salad leaves to garnish


  1. Cut the lemons in half lengthways. Cut the flesh from each half, discarding the membranes and pips.
  2. Place the flesh in a bowl with the prawns, crab meat and grapes. When ready to serve mix in the mayonnaise and dill. Stir well. Note: Do not mix the fish with the mayonnaise until ready to serve, otherwise juice from the lemon will separate the mixture.
  3. Spoon the filling into the lemon shells and serve garnished with dill and salad leaves

Serving Suggestion

Serve with brown bread and butter.
